Amateur Qualifier for 2012 ESPN National Golf Challenge
“Searching for America's Best Twosome!”
The 36-hole 2012 National Challenge will again take place at Paiute on October 8-10, 2012. With three separate Amateur Divisions, this is an opportunity to participate with a friend in a nationally recognized event sponsored by ESPN and Callaway. Amateur Event Details:
- Two-Player Best Ball
- 8am Shotgun Start on Snow Mountain
- $85 / PACC Player and $105 / General Public Player ... includes green fee, cart fee, and practice facility
- Division & Tees ... Gross Division Tees: Men - Yellow & Women - Red; Net* Division Tees: Men - Yellow & Women - Red; *Seniors (55+) Division Tees: Men - White & Women - Red (*Open to all golfers with USGA approved handicap. Maximum adjusted handicap of 24 for this event.)
- Triple Play Options ... pay an additional $49 and partner up with each person within the foursome, which essentially "triples" your chances to win
- Additional entry fee of $378 per team will be required for those teams advancing to the Regional Finals, which will take place in August 13, 2012

2012 ESPN National Golf Challenge Finals
Be "America's Best Twosome" ... Finals held @ Paiute for the 5th Year in a row!
The ESPN National Golf Challenge presented by Callaway Golf is an Amatuer two-person better ball tournament designed to find "America's Best 2 Some" in both Gross (handicap not required) and Net (handicap required and used) divisions. Teams may consist of any combination of male/or female participants with a maximum allowable handicap of 24 strokes (in the Net Division).
The 36-hole finals will again take place at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, the home of the ESPN National Golf Challenge National Finals since 2007.

CONGRATS TO THE 2011 ESPN NATIONAL GOLF CHALLENGE WINNERS!
“America’s Best Twosomes” were found October 2011!
PRO Division featured 102 participants (Individual Winners within this division).
- 1st: Ryan Polzin from Houston, TX & Royal Oaks Country Club, with a 135 (70-65) and cash prize of $10,000.
- 2nd, 3-Way Tie: with a score of 136 and a prize of $5,333 per winner – Dave Carr from Sacramento, CA & Teal Bend Golf Club (70-66); Dave Fusco from Pomona, N.Y. & Patriot Hills Golf Club (71-65); and Casey Carnes from New Braunfels, TX & Woodlake Golf Club (68-68).
AMATEUR Competition team winners hold the title of “America’s Best Twosome”
(separated into Gross, Net & Senior divisions)
GROSS division featured 40 competing teams and a 4-way tie for 1st place, which was decided with a 4-hole playoff.
- 1st: Mike Frias and Daniel Medina from El Paso, TX & Santa Teresa Country Club, with a score of 127 (63-64).
- Additional 1st Place Finishers: with a score of 127 – Dan Becker and Jon Peterson from Granite Bay, CA & Granite Bay Country Club (65-62); Doug Ritter and Russell Olson from Weston, FL & Weston Hills Country Club (63-64); and Richard Smith and Craig Siddon from Massena, N.Y. & Massena Country Club (63-64).
NET division featured 32 teams and a 2-way tie for 2nd place, which was decided with a scorecard playoff.
- 1st: Michael Mahoney and Nick Hunsaker from Antelope, CA & Teal Bend Golf Club with a score of 126 (67-59).
- 2nd, 2-Way Tie: with a score of 127 – Vohn Hoop and Jerry Edwards from Burlington, WA & Avalon Golf Links (65-62); Darick Brewer and Ron Winch from Peebles, OH & Snow Hill Country Club (65-62).
SENIOR division featured 31 competing teams.
- 1st: Frank Kerby and Eddie Williams from Fresno, CA & Diablo Grande Golf and Country Club with a score of 119 (59-60).
- 2nd: Patrick Vincent and Frank Carini from Cedarburg, WI & Oakwood Park Golf Course with a score of 123 (60-63).
- 3rd: Mark Reed and Herb Reither from Placentia, CA & The Golf Club at Rancho California with a score of 126 (62-64).
